Since we are on the topic of American ICBMs, let us talk about the many issues plaguing successful development of the replacement for Minuteman III. This project, known as LGM-35 Sentinel, hasn’t produced a single fully validated prototype for over a decade, is experiencing serious cost and schedule issues- to put it mildly. But to truly grasp the extent and depth of these problems, we have to first talk about the missile system it is supposed to replace. The original Minuteman ICBM was one of most revolutionary and successful weapon system ever created by the American defense establishment.

To put it bluntly, the vast majority of equipment loss and casualties suffered by American and British Airforce during their strategic bombing campaigns on Germany were useless and unnecessary. At this point, some of you might say that the loss of German pilots and aircraft during such raids was worthwhile “compensation”- except it wasn’t. By 1943, Germany had already started investing much more in ground-based aircraft interception (better AA guns, automated gun laying, early warning and tracking radar networks etc) than aircraft interceptors.

Part 2: Elites are Not Good at Strategic or Long-Term Thinking

At some stage the forces which hold the stressed society together are overwhelmed by those caused by cascading events caused by the unnecessary suffering of the average people in the system. The majority then lose their faith in “elites” and all institutions associated with them, creating a power vacuum that is inevitably filled by some other faction or group. While those who fill such an emergent power vacuum might not be much better than the old “elites”, they do represent a shift from the disastrous policies and institutions which drove that society to implode in the first place.

But why do I think that Joe Biden’s physical condition is poor, other than because of his frequent stumbles while climbing stairs and multiple public instances of cognitive problems? It comes down to his medical history.. specifically the long-term effects of two extensive neurosurgical procedures in the late 1980s to repair two major cerebral aneurysms. The very short version is that major neuro-surgical procedures often result in residual brain damage similar to other forms of head trauma, manifesting decades later in the form of accelerated cognitive dysfunction.

The IDF Has Been Exposed as a Mediocre Army

But it get worse.. just look the level of rank inflation among the IDF. How do you promote someone to positions of Major, Major General, Lieutenant Colonel etc with barely a few years of service? Even the American army in its current state of decay, tries to make sure that people promoted to their positions have a decent amount of relevant experience before promoting them. Which wars have these people experienced or distinguished themselves in? Which conflicts have their special forces participated, in recent memory?

Is the DNC Trolling Voters by Running Biden?

Biden is not an exception in the Democratic party, as there are multiple recent instances of similar political figures staying on in spite of severe mental and physical decline- recent famous examples include Diane Feinstein, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and even Nancy Pelosi. I will conceded that while Republicans also have some very old people in politics, but they are noticeably fewer as a percentage and in better general health. It is also no secret that this unwillingness by Democrats to push such people out of office has cost them in their ability to govern effectively.
